Summer lovin' at the island of Boracay. :)

One of the highlights of my summer 2011. Was planning to go to Boracay as far as I can remember. We've been trying to go here since we were in high school, but of course Boracay is too far and our parents would not easily allow underage girls to go there without parental supervision. But finally, last April 28-30, 2011, all our plans suddenly pushed through. We were at the right age, and at the right time. Although our bookings cost much we did not really care. Only 5 of us got to go, since our other friends had other commitments with family and school.

We hit the road as early as 6am and checked in at the airport at 7am. We got a little bored since our flight got delayed. We reached Kalibo airport and panicked a little since it started to rain hard. But the locals assured us that it was sunny in Boracay. A 2 hour bus ride was next, we slept a little to gain enerygy. The bus ride was long and really hot. We reached our destination and our final ride is through a 10 minute boat ride. And finaly we were at Boracay. A hotel shuttle picked us up and took us to our rooms. We had an amazing choice of room, beach front with a nice view. Plus, it was near a convinient store and starbucks. :) We first settled down and went out to grab a quick lunch, then went back to our rooms to lie down, but we decided that we were wasting time and immediately changed to our suits and headed for the beach and took pictures, swam and explored the island.

We really enjoyed our swim in the beach, although only a few pictures were taken, me and my friend clare returned our slr's to the hotel. We exchanged laughs and stories and enjoyed each moment of our swim. We returned near our hotel when sunset was nearing, we stayed by the beach and watched the sails while Clare and I took shots of the scenery. And soon enough, the sun was setting and our first day was over just like that. Time flies when you're having fun.

One of my shots during our shoot of the sunset. Our first sunset in Boracay.

We then returned to our room, took a shower and quick rest and headed out to dinner. By the beach again of course. Funny moments during eating. All laughs and happiness. We stayed by the beach until night fall, and went back to our room. Clare, Charlene and I were not sleepy so we headed to the beach front again. Around 1am, char went back and it was only me and Clare.  We talked about everything, from boys, to family to love life's and all. It was fun and relaxing. We laugh out loud and all. We headed to our room at 3am and said we'd wake each other up to get shots of the sun rise. But of course that did not happen. :))

The same things happened during our second day, although I had a major sunburn since we swam from station 1 to station 2. It was hella fun. :)) We bought items from the local market. Watched the royal wedding while we were there, and I got to drink my mango rum shake. One of the famous drinks in Boracay. :)

Our experience was one of a kind, we all had fun. Laughs and good vibes all the way. :) Oh, I forgot to mention, Boracay is one of the most popular attractions and tourist spots in the Philippines. They really have a great beach, and you can do lots of activities while you're there. It is a great getaway when you're with your friends and family. :)
